Marshalltown Frostbuster

Wow, what a night!! Could not have been any more perfect. Decent temperature, no wind to speak of and alot of race cars.
Got to the track about 315pm. Most of the Wisconsin contingent were lined up on the south side of the pit fence. There were a few cars inside the pits already.
A dozer was moving about the track as they were hauling dirt.
The cars just kept lining up and I do not think the line went down at the pit shack till after the races started.
Track was in great shape and stayed that way all night. Suprising for the number of cars.
Racing started jsut after 7pm. The final checkers flew just after midnight. 5 hours for 200+ cars. Pretty good time.
I am not going to write about any results as you can find them at http://www.positivelyracing.com/index.shtm or http://foxman1987.blogspot.com/ or http://www.citrackside.com/

I met alot of very nice people on Friday night. thanks for everyones kindness.
Will try to get my Boone report for Saturday night on here soon.

Frostbuster at Marshalltown Speedway

I will be attending the Frostbuster race at the Marshalltown Speedway on Friday night.
Should be great weather from what they are saying.

Hopefully the car count will be up there as Park Jefferson canceled there show and a few of the cars that were racing there may show up.

Promotor Toby Kruse always does his best to put on the BEST SHOW ON DIRT.  I dont think Friday night, it will be anything different. Track seemed to be in pretty good shape at practice on March 29.  With the somewhat good weather we have had since then, has given promotor Kruse the time it takes  to prepare the surface.

Hope to see a good crowd enjoy the first race in Central Iowa Friday night.

Iowa State Fairgrounds will also be holding the first race of the year at the facility in Des Moines.  Good luck to promotor Mick Trier on his first night of racing in the year 2009.
